Now that we’ve rung in the new year, the resolutions were made and all the excuses to over indulge in holiday treats have run out, we meet again for a new countdown, yet this time it’s not so festive.
Did you know that 45% of Americans make at least one resolution in January but only 8% of people who make them will still be committed to them by the end of the year, what’s worse is that over 80% of resolutions made will fail by February!
Have you ever kick started the year at the gym barely able to get on a machine but by February it looks more like a ghost town than a fitness center? Yup. We know, we’ve seen it too.
Why is it that most Americans resolve to either save money or live healthier lives, yet as quickly as they could sneeze they throw it all out the door?
It’s simple, it takes work and commitment. Neither resolution is easy to do but yet so essential to living a better lifestyle holistically.
At MediStation we try to make it easy and quick for you to stay on track with keeping up with your resolution and all while preventing any serious medical condition. If you resolved for a healthier and active YOU, then follow us in taking these steps to accomplishing our resolution!
Keep your New Year healthy resolutions-
1- Come on by MediStation for an annual physical exam- it’s important that you know your numbers for your blood pressure, body mass index and cholesterol counts.
2- Incorporate at least one hour of movement a day – go for a walk, take a Zumba class or just jump on a trampoline. These help with getting your cardiovascular system pumping.
3- Invest in a nice water bottle & take it with you everywhere – make sure you are hydrating throughout the day.
4- Book an IV Therapy Session – many of us are depleted in essential vitamins and nutrients, IV Therapy helps with replenishing your body with what it needs.
5- Get enough rest – make sure to head to bed at a reasonable time everynight in order to have ample time to let your body regenerate its energy.
Living the healthy life you have resolved to live is not unattainable, however, self-awareness is key and knowing more about your body and how it functions is essential. So drop on by, throughout the month of January and February as we’ll be offering complimentary Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, Blood Sugar and BMI (Body Mass Index) testing; we’re focused on keeping you informed and healthy. Don’t forget that at MediStation we care about taking care of your acute symptoms such as the common colds and pains but we are also very focused on prevention.
